Following on from our earlier blog post, Friends of the Earth visited the Brooklands Labour Councillors at their advice surgery.They brought postcards that local residents have signed, asking us to put pressure on the City Council to reduce CO2 emmissions. After speaking to Ali from FoE, we're going to make sure that we do our bit to press for a 40% reduction target.
Sue Murphy said: 'The council have already signed up to the 10:10 campaignto reduce carbon emmissions by 10% next year - and we think they should go even further. We're pleased to support Friends of the Earth and their campaign. It's good that so many local people took time to let us know how strongly they feel about this.'
